The Lolly Project

What It Is

The Lolly Project is a signature program of The Comeback Kid Project, Inc., where youth provide free lawn care and yard cleanups for seniors, widows, and disabled neighbors who can’t do it themselves.

What starts as mowing a lawn becomes something far greater:

  • Restoring dignity for those who need a hand

  • Building connection across generations

  • Teaching youth the value of hard work, service, and accountability

Why It Matters

Too many young people are carrying heavy loads from trauma, foster care, or hardship. The Lolly Project flips the script …by serving others, they learn that:

  • Their time and effort have real impact

  • Healing happens when you shift focus outward

  • Leadership grows through accountability and service

Inspired by Grandma “Lolly”

This project honors “Grandma Lolly,” a 90-something seamstress whose life has been defined by quiet, steady service. Her legacy inspires our youth to carry that spirit forward into their own comebacks.

What Youth Gain

  • Service Hours – recognized for schools, scholarships, and community credit

  • Job Skills – teamwork, communication, reliability, and customer care

  • Entrepreneurship – the chance to launch their own lawn-care microbusinesses with donor-funded starter kits

  • Income – thanks to donor support, youth receive competitive pay for their work and may also earn tips from grateful neighbors

Impact

Every yard tells a story.

  • Lawns transformed → dignity restored

  • Youth mentored → leaders developed

  • Neighbors connected → community strengthened

  • Young people employed → cycles of hardship broken

With your support, The Lolly Project is expanding across Utah County—helping more neighbors, training more youth, and fueling comebacks one yard at a time.
